Needless to say sometimes the sky says..."ok, here ya go...happy new year". On a photo tour and turned to the guy and his daughter and said this is either gonna be epic or a dud. No in between. Luckily it was the former.

I think my heart was racing for an hour after we stopped shooting. More to come from this night!

Ok so I finally had to bite the bullet and join all you fockers over here. Let the games begin ;)

This is a beautiful shot, Aaron. I like how the sky converges on the layered headlands. And the color and light is awe inspiring.

Some times it's all about the light and you have the light. Electric Aaron. Cheers

Bravo. I enjoy how the light intensifies and draws my attention right into the heart of the scene.

A stunning wash of sunset color, Aaron. I like the use of the wide angle here to accentuate the spread of clouds. The fg rock element anchors the shot beautifully. A little bit more detail in the shadows on the left might have been nice.

Thanks all :) Good to be back :P

And yes...Ray hit it...sometimes it's all about the light. Then again it's usually all about the light (and then not screwing up the comp) haha.

@david - check the large version in a dark room. there is detail in all the shadows but kept it very very slight to almost silhouette them :)

@rich - cropping off the left side would remove the leading line of the beach trailing off in to the distance which i feel is imperative to getting the eye down and through the photo smoothly. appreciate the thought though!

thanks again for the c/c...more from this shortly :)
