Sunset from Marys Peak in Oregon. I did add a warming filter to enhance the already orangey light. Nikon N80 Tamron 70-300 lens Velvia 50

This could almost pass for the Smokies in the east. Nice image.

Very nice layered image Donald. I like the silhouetted trees as well. I might consider cropping a little off the top to exclude the dark clouds.

Yeah this is definitely the "Smoky Mountain" effect. I believe the brightest area just below the dark clouds is the Pacific ocean.

This really is nice Donald. I just get lost in those ridge lines going off into the horizon. Not too unlike the coastal ranges here in the CA, especially here in the SF Bay Area. So this feels like home to me.

This turned out well. The silhouette on the right works best. Clouds at top are a bit distraction and sort of break the flow. Could be cropped easily.

Love the layers and tones!A small crop off the top would remove the distracting cloud band.

classic silhouette sunset with wonderful layering hills in the bg. I definitely agree with cropping the dark cloud line at the top

Donald,
Fantastic layering - those ridges seem to go on forever. Almost makes me wish the foreground silhouette wasn't so dominant, but still, there's enough room to enjoy the fabulous view!
