Several Canada Geese pairs and their goslings were near a lake in a large park in Kansas City, KS last spring. Some of the geese let me get fairly close to them. I got as low as I could in the grass to take some photos. I will be interested to here what others think of this image.

Wow, I really like to focus on the goslings. Did you focus manualy? This shot sure shows the context of the shot.

Great POV and great eye contact. I really like the intimate view of the environment.

I like this image! Even with the baby geese buried in the grass, it's obvious what the subject is. I love the low angle. Nice job

Neat image, Richard. I do like the effect of the low angle. The noise shows up quite a bit in the bg, giving it a crinkly look that I don't really care for. It's a tough image to separate, but some noise reduction might be helpful. :toast:

Cute little guys! I would like a tad more room up on the top.

Excellent use of the a low shooting angle. I'm a bit puzzled by the noise in the BG. I'd think the Canon 30D wouldn't show much noise at ISO800. I'm curious why you chose such a high shutter speed and high ISO?

Richard,

I like the intimacy of this image and how the gooslings are nestled into the grass. The issue that stands out the most for me though is the noise in the image, I'm wondering if you sharpened the image globally which does increase any noise present. I recommend only sharpening the birds in the image, not the rest.
