Iguazu Falls, Argentina.

Sunset light is filtered through the heavy mist of Iguazu Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world. My photos of Iguazu Falls don't do justice to the experience of being there, feeling the ground rumbling, the warm spray raining down, watching the light rays dance in the mist. It's pure majesty!

Amazing image, Mike. Your compositions and processing have a distinct look that I can only describe as subtle drama (an oxymoron?). A worthy addition to your fantastic portfolio.

Here is a version with a little extra midtone contrast in the main waterfall. The difference is subtle, but I think I like it better.

I love the composition here. The foreground fall anchors the photo well, I love the motion in the water (perfect shutter speed) and the backlighting on the mist in the back is superb. :toast:

I admire that in all the images from this location, you bring something new with each one. This one is the most warmly ethereal and perhaps the most personal and intimate I think.

Sweet! I like the mood here more than some of your other shots from here, and those were pretty darn good to begin with. The light is great, and the exposure looks just about perfect. Would make a good B&W too. :toast:
Oh, cant really tell the difference, but ill say the repost...

I do like the repost a bit better. This is just unreal, in a very good way. Like you say, nothing can compare with actually being there, but this is a close second.

Very moody and atmospheric. The difference between the two is very subtle, but the repost catches my imagination a bit more.

Fantastic,
I think I like the repost a little better.
The light diffused by the water drops is really unique, you can go hundreads of times to the same place and I'll think you can't get the same picture. Remarkable!
I live in the falls country and never visited them, shame on me!

This "going over the edge" vantage point gives a tension to a powerful scene. Beautiful work!

There's a mystical and dramatic feel to this that I just love. Incredible work as usual, Mike.

Great image. I can almost feel the power of the rush of water over the falls. Very fine work.

Whoa, so much drama and mystery. I actually prefer the original post, it seems to lose a bit of its surreal quality with the added contrast.

Mike,
I like this one for its abstract foggy feeling .. the 1/6 sec is a good choice to create a good movement / smooth effect .. and the composition is nice with this diagonal line :)
sorry for my strange english ..!
