Alone in color

This photo was taken on 11/3/2010. This male American Wigeon seem to be in his own world, soaking in the sun and color. Got as low as an angle as I could.
I left more room at top and right to get more of the color in. About 75% of shot. Is this to much room? All comments and imput is really appreciated.

I think the green on the head of this species is incredibly beautiful. Looks like your techs are well thought out. In answer to your question, my subjective answer would be to crop a little more from the top and maybe the right side also. You will still retain the nice colors in the reflections but showcase the duck a little more.

Hi Ron: Widgeons are really pretty. You caught this one is some nice water. To answer your question, I'd prefer a tighter crop. The image also needs to be rotated CCW. Easiest way to tell is to draw a ruler line from tip of the beak to the reflected tip of the beak. It should be vertical. Exposure looks a bit hot to me. I bring the entire image down a bit.

Nice shot of a beautiful duck I agree with Kieth's comments. The image also seems a bit soft to me.

I like the setting here Ron. I would crop in a bit tighter given your at 75% of the image now. Off the top and right sounds good as suggested by others. I too would bring the exposure down and work on getting some detail back in the white rump patch. Overall the bird is a bit soft and cropping in will excentuate that.

Good detail all the way out at 500mm Ron.
I like the single drop at the beak, the reflection, and the look of the water here.
Bring that exposure down a tad?
Merry Christmas!
