This was from a few years ago when I was still using film. A beautiful misty morning at Connery pond and Whiteface mountain in the Adirondack park. Is the 50 / 50 split a problem? Nikon FM ..Tokina 28-80 lens..grad filter..Velvia 50

Nice colors and a really nice sweeping feeling to this. The time of day is excellent and the mist adds mood on top of that.

Nice to see an image from my neck of the woods, the 50/50 split doesn't bother me at all, would hate to lose though clouds anyway. FG could use a touch of fill, but looks good as presented to.

Very nice colors and comp. The rising fog makes this extra special. On my laptop the shadowed sides of the grass seem a bit dark.

What a glorious sunrise indeed. The fog coming off the water and the beautiful sky frame the mountain and horizon wonderfully. I don't really see this as a 50/50 composition. I think the reflection is nicely balanced with the sky and the line of mist rising off the water really defines the image.

Not a nit really, but the fog does look pretty lavender to me; especially towards the left. Not that it's a problem per se, but an observation.
