Winter has arrived in South West Quebec and I have already seen a good number of Snowy Owls. Looks like it's going to be a great winter.

Be brutal... and thanks for the warm welcome.

That is some incredible face. Love those eyes and the falling snow. The only thing I would have been different would be to put a color frame around it to separate the snow from the white background. Excellent image.

Love the snow, comp, and pose!
Hard to tell at this size, but the owl seems very soft.
Looking forward to more owls!

Great picture- strong expression, nice BG and pose over snow- Beautiful portrait of one of my favourite birds (sadly he doesn't like italian climate)- Bravo, Fabio

Love the low perspective. I'm jealous of your snowies... we apparently had one show up way down here in (central) Washington recently, but it would be nice if a few more popped up once in a while.

This looks really nice Christopher. Love the falling snow, "peeking" type pose, and those yellow eyes putting some color into the image. A larger version would help me critique the critical sharpness of the bird, but from the small 720px image it looks pretty good to me. Well done.

*Love* the owl's intense, serious expression. And your angle is wonderful! Nice work.

This is a very appealing image with the eyes and falling snow in the bg. I really like it, but imo the snow at the bottom should go. It says little in this image where you have so much going on in terms of form and texture. Try a crop?
