Frosted Sunflower

I used the focus stacking feature of PS CS5 for this - a total of 18 images stacked. There are a few problem areas more noticable on hi res - not readily noticable to the casual viewer, but the software does an amazingly good job. Of course the key is no breeze whatsoever. I used the black side of my reflector for the background, with natural light from the morning sun.

Canon 5DII. Sigma 150/2.8 macro + 12 mm ext. tube. Polarizer. ISO 800. f/13. 1/45 sec. C&C appreciated.

Beautiful work Doug. The stack certainly looks good to me and I like the light and the snow crystals. A fine image for my tastes.

I don't know anything about stacking yet, but this is a beautiful result, very sharp and with beautiful color and lighting.

Doug, good job in the stackung. From what we can see in this image, I wish I could see a much larger image to be able to actually see the individual crystals that you have captured. Excellent PP. 18 images....you've got more patience than me

The details with the ice crystals are just lovely, Doug. Great eye to spot this intimate scene and a wonderful call with the black side of the reflector as a BG.

Doug, One beautiful job! Stacking is great and admirable to do outside. A melting image indoors might be interesting too LOL
