From last March...just going through an old folder. I wish the big rock on the left were in focus (or better yet, not there).

Nikon D300s 300 f4 + 1.7X TC HH
f/8
1/1000s
ISO 500
-.33 EC

Cropped to 79%, levels adjustment, sharpened the seal and wave, CS5 + 27" iMac

Wonderful frame and I love the crashing wave ! Oof rock at left doesn't bother me.
But I do wish to see the nest couple of frames, when wave passed the belly of the seal, making more of the head visible.

Luke, I like the dynamics of this image and especially like the shadow of the breaking wave on her body. I agree the rock is a little unfortunate, for it gives a dimension of heaviness to an otherwise active capture.

Hi Luke, I like the wave action. I do have to agree with you though that the rock on the left is somewhat unfortunate. Further I feel a tighter framing would suit this well.

I love the action. Seals must get pummeled from waves like this all the time. The OOF rock doesn't bother me. I like the comp.

Great light and I like the way the waves almost submerge the seal.
