Ice Cold

In going through my files, I came across some images from a couple years ago that had seemed like a good idea at the time I made them, but once I looked at them on screen, I wasn't all that pleased with them. I started playing with them in PS, trying various filters. This image was one of them, looking out my patio door during a snowstorm. I applied an ice filter to the image...textures provided by Mother nature.

This reminds me of a Japanese rice paper print. Subtle yet compelling composition. Very nice interpretation and processing of the raw image.

Interesting patterns, Toni. I might be inclined to up the contrast here a bit, allowing the patterns and textures to appear a bit more stark.
