A Sunstar is Born (rpst)

A follow up to my previous post as I watched a great sunrise the day before Thanksgiving.

D-60, ISO-200, 1/80th, f-22.0. I've gone back and forth in processing this, trying it lighter and the original darker. This is somewhere in the middle, yet appears quite noisy at only 200. Any C&C or processing suggestions welcomed, thanks all!

Great sunstar! I wish I could see a bit more detail in the FG as it looks like theres alot there to see. If it's too noisy I would consider a crop from the bottom to almost a square format. :toast:

Hi Bill, there does seem to be alot of noise for ISO 200 but a wonderfully composed shot. The lighting is great the way it shines on the FG plants, and as for the starburst, well lets just say I crown you the king of the starburst effect here on NPN. Well done.

Great sunburst and sky Bill. I would love to see the fg lightened up a bit to showcase the detail there.

Now THAT'S a sunstar! Nice shot, Bill! I would suggest a CCW rotation of a degree or two and perhaps 20-30% crop off the bottom (to a 4x5 aspect ratio). Otherwise, a very nice image! :toast:

Thanks folks, I'll try a bottom crop, lightening up the FG. It's kind of baffling to me why this gets so noisy when I do though--maybe just the D-60 limitations?? Or mine??
I froze my butt off waiting for this, it was a beautiful "chilly" morning--ok, couldn't feel my hands. Just frustrating to a degree. :toast:

After many, many tries... a quick attempt at a crop and repost. Thanks! Oh, tried a rotation and it comes out almost dead on in Elements as is.
