Santa Duck

Have you ever let your imagination roam a bit and wonder what it might be like if our avian friends believed in and had their own Santa? I shot this mallard drake in 2005 and then a couple of years ago I added the hat and came up with "The Legend of Santa Duck" and wrote "Twas the day before Christmas, . . . " While I'm not a poet by a long shot, the friends that have read the poem think it's rather cute. If you have children or grandchildren with an interest in birds, you can read the poem that goes with this photo, by clicking here. . .

If you would like a full size copy of "Twas the day before Christmas" to share with your children, send me an email request and I will send a reply with download.. FOR YOUR PERSONAL USE!

Have a great Thanksgiving Holiday!

Craig, I'll surely share this delightful with the little ones in our family that I'm teaching to appreciate birds and all wildlife - thanks!
You're multi-talented!

Craig,

This made me giggle because of the hat on your Santa Duck. The details & colors of the mallard are lovely.

I think this is great, What good is having a holiday if we can't push the limit a tiny bit. Great close up of the duck too. :toast:
