Fascinating patterns. I love the strip of palmettos at the bottom, providing a great visual anchor for the pines. Definitely a departure from most views of Florida that I've seen (I've never been).

I think this is composed very nicely Barbara. It looks a bit flat on this lousy work monitor, but might look just fine on a calibrated monitor - will look again when I get home. An fine example of a north Florida pine forest. Good work.

EDIT - Looks much nicer on my home monitor!

Very nice image, I really like the lines and fg plants here in combination with the darker tree trunks! :wavey:

I like it! Very graphic. The light is also interesting: It looks direct, like midday sun, but it does not feel harsh. Definitely works well for this scene!

Very effective capture of the forest here, and the palmetto at the bottom sets it apart from other similar shots. The light feels soft as if this was an overcast day . . . I like it, though like Bill I could also see a small contrast boost working well.

I think this is your strongest image I've seen, I really like it. The composition is nice, and I like the dappled light on the trees. Nice one!

The comp and light work very well here. I also like the inclusion of the palemettos(?) in the foreground.

Barbara,

I must say that I think this is your best work yet - at least for here in ES&S. I think this is excellent! A simple composition that lets the elements of lines, graphics and light come through. I also think you chose a great balance between the foreground palmettos, greens and the forest, trunks and lines.

Well done Barbara,

Lon

Neat. I really like the monochrome trunks against the soft greens of the understory. Graphic, abstract, beautiful.

Definitely your strongest post here in ES&S, Barbara. The palmettos are a nice anchor for the repetitive lines of pines. A classic Florida landscape! My one suggestion would be to add some contrast in the shadows of the palmettos to give them a bit of punch.
