Red Clover

Hi everyone,

This is my first post, as I just recently joined as a member.

This was taken at the end of this past Summer. I find it interesting how each different Clover has distinct, unique patterns. I was experimenting with 5 stitched images (for DOF and larger prints).

D90, 70-300mm at 70mm (w/Raynox macro filter)
Cropped, f9, 1/500, ISO 200

I just quickly want to say that I'm thrilled to be a member.
There is a lot of amazing talent here!

Feedback and comments welcome!

Welcome Morgan. An interesting and lovely first post to the Flora forum. Initially I was struck by the position of the bloom in the frame, thinking it shouldn't be clipped by the frame, but the more I look at this I like how the shadow/leaf structure at LR supports the bloom. In other words, I like this.

By the way, you have some wonderful images on your website. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Very nice shot. I like your choices for point of focus and DOF. I think they bring out the patterns in the clover. Well done!

Fine detail and light Morgan. I also like your dof decision. I have no problem with this composition and you've got a good supporting bg but I might also be inclined to crop in some from the right just to better emphasize the blooms. Welcome to the gallery. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work. A very fine image for my tastes.

Morgan, welcome to NPN and Flora. I like your DOF, and the graphic feeling to the foreground shadows.

Quite interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Ciao ;^)
