This capture is from earlier this year. I have not been out shooting too much lately - motivation level has not been there for some reason.

Here is a link to a larger version, too.

Hey Bob - I wanted to keep this a bit darker. I kind of like the effect. And - color is so overrated anyway.

John Milton speaking of rhyme in Paradise Lost "... the Invention of a barbarous age, to set off wretched matter and lame meeter ..."

Sounds like I could substitute "color" for "rhyme" for your here, David. (smile)

I like the mood of the image and the diagonal composition. For my tastes the flowers aren't large enough in the frame relative to the amount of space. I'd just like to see more of them.

David...I know what oyu mean about the motivation. We all go through it, more than once usually. For me, I'm just glad I don't have this as my profession. I'd be broke  Anyway, this is nice. If your intent was to keep it darker, than you've achieved that. I'm in agreement with Pat...like to see more or bigger of them. Hang in there..

David, I like how these sort of float out of the darkness, like something coming out of deep water. From that perspective, I don't mind the size of the flowers relative to the frame, but I can see Pat's point too... I think a crop making the flowers more prominent would work equally well

I'll bet there is a lot of subtle detail to be enjoyed in this image that we're missing because of the web restrictions. I'd love to see this larger in print.

I do think there is a bit too much negative space here making your subjects too small in the frame.
