First, thanks for the comments and suggestions on my previous posting. This photo was taken the same day in late September as my last post (11/05)and includes the left hand side that several folks mentioned. I think the reason I didn’t process this earlier was because of the bright sky; it is a minor distraction to me, but cropping it out didn’t work either. I did crop a tiny bit from the LHS.

T1i, 21mm, f18, 1/5s, ISO-100

C&C always welcome.

Lovely wide view interpretation RC. The white sky is OK for me but more noticeable for me are the patched of blown out water.

Beautiful angle on the river here, Ron. Looks like you were in the water! (But from the high angle, I am guessing you were on a big rock.) I really like the way the trees form a roof over the river here. Sky looks OK to me, but the upper part of the river is much brighter than the sky. I hope you can find more detail in the whites there by double processing. FG water looks great -- perfect exposure and shutter speed for my taste.

I still like the quality of the light even with the bright sky. Reminds me of a Kincade. :toast:

The sky doesn't give me trouble either. The plant in the llc draws my eye a bit, bit the overall scene is beautiful; a very nice comp. I think a density filter to smooth the water some would add to the mood of the fall color.

You know...sometimes it's okay to keep the sky in the way you have. It really doesn't bother me much. I think your repost is good, Ron. Looks like it was an enjoyable day there.
