Big Sur Coastline

I don’t have much exerience shooting coastlines – I’m mostly a mountain and desert man – but I spent a few days last week shooting in the Big Sur/Carmel area and came back with a few keepers that I’ll post here. Flat lighting and lack of colorful skies led me to work mainly in B&W but this is one of a couple of color images. C&C appreciated.

Very subtle and nice colors Barry. I also like how the beach seems to go on and on and fades into the background. Nice work.

Very pretty shot of this area. Don't see anything to critique at all, and like Dean I enjoy the sinuous line of the beach fading into the background.

I know this spot. Its actually better in the fog than without the fog. This one is nicely done.

This looks like a nice view anytime, but that mist making the BG fade, while keeping the FG beautifully clear, makes this gorgeous.

The beautiful California Coast! I love the color in the near shore shallows. Living in this state my whole life, and have not spent nearly as much time experiencing this part of it.

The contrast between the water color and the bluffs is very appealing. The fog also enhances the mood of the image and contributes to bringing out the colors.
