Hello all,
Here is a picture I brought back from Tanzania (Mahale Moutains National Park) last September.
This chimpanzee is from a wild population, but acclimatized to humans for scientific research.
Hope you will enjoy this picture!

Really like the light and absolutely love how the youngster's feet are wrapped around ma's hand. It's a bit of a shame that the mother's head is clipped...perhaps a vertical capture might have been a slightly better choice on this one? If the image were mine (I wish!) I'd probably experiment with cropping MORE of the female off now and make this image more about the youngster (likely via a tighter vertical crop of the younger one) - I think having that great hand there will convey enough about the interaction of the two without having too many other "recognizable parts" of the mother in the frame. All this assumes you have sufficient pixels to make such a large crop...
Cheers...thanks for showing us this wonderful image!
