I hiked up into Eagle Creek yesterday in the Columbia River Gorge to check out the fall colors. Some trees are at peak and some are past peak. The waterfalls were very impressive due to the recent rains. This is a shot of Metlako Falls from above. Definitely need to watch your footing here...it's a long way down!

Nikon D80, 12-24 Nikkor dx, polarizer
2 exposure blend for dynamic range. 6 sec and 1 sec at f/16, ISO 100.

All C&C are appreciated. Please view large since the web compression really hit the small version.

I really like the composition and the processing is spectacular. But I'm a little torn on the water presentation. This is largely personal of course, but I wish there was a bit more detail in the falls. Excellent shot though and nice job on the exposure blending (wish I knew how to do that). :toast:

What a beautiful waterfall, this is really great. I love the work you did with the exposure blend and the colours rendition, it all looks pretty natural. Well done.

I like the composition a lot, I can't recall seeing a picture of these falls from this angle. Nice one.

This is almost more about green than water. I like the combo of the two and the way the green sort of frames the water.

I've never been brave enough to hike (fall) down to this spot. Great shot Scott, it shows the color of the gorge well and that's amazing water flow. I think cropping out that lrc would be an improvement. Looks like a great blend!
