Lovely shot Philip! The layers are great, as is the color contrast between hills and sky.

Excellent! I don't know if I've seen anything quite like this one from there. I like it!

I like the layered effect going on here, but the tree that cuts into the above layers ruins the harmony, in my opinion. Don't know if it would have been possible to shift your position so that the bottom foliage layer just runs across the bottom, but I can see that making a stronger comp. Otherwise, the transition from dark blue to orange/gold is very nice.

Nice layers here Phillip. I like how the sun looks like it is setting inside the cloud. My only suggestion would be to consider placing the sun more the the middle of the horizontal axis to create a more balanced comp.

I like how the clouds almost becomes a mountain in the layering scheme. I'm actually thinking there might be a mountain in the cloud layer, though I'm not sure. The sun adds a nice sense of perspective.

Philip, This is an amazing image. The layering, colors and position of the sun are so striking. The tree on the right isn't ideal, but sometimes you can't control everything, especially when you're standing near a steep slope. I hope to some day get a sunset image like this in my part of the Blue Ridge (Western NC).
