Very nice. How much of a crop is this?

The splayed feathers are great of course. What's interesting to me is the amount of yellow in the underside of the wings. I've never noticed that with flickers before.

Amazing. It just keeps getting better and better. It takes more than patience there is a lot of skill involved.

Beautiful, Richard. Great view of the underside, yet you managed to get good eye contact. If they're like their western counterparts, they're awfully skittish. :toast:

Beautiful position of the wings and the tail feathers. The light really brings out some nice yellows in the wings.

Looks really nice Rich. Another tough shot. I too would like to know the crop size. Also, would love to see this at 1200px to really see the details.

Great job getting the angle and light on the flicker to show these seldom photographed colors Richard. I'd love to see your photos at 1200 pixels.

At the risk of sounding redundant, WOW! I can only imagine how fast this bird was flying. Great catch!

This has to be my favorite bird. It's gorgeous from any and every angle, and this one, from directly underneath, reveals what I've never seen before. Amazing color and design. Congratulations. :toast:
