The Woods

This is from a scanned slide taken a few years back. Never did anything with it, but recently looked at it and thought it had a painterly look so I did a few adjustments. I like how most of the woods are green with the Autumn color in the background. Taken on Long Island. Nikon N80 28-70 Tamron lens Velvia 50

Composition works well for me, feels like walking into a tunnel towards the lighter reds and oranges.

Love the way the Velvia renders the beautiful colors and richness of the trunks here. My eye flows through this well framed image nicely.

I believe that you've accomplished what you set out to do. I really
like the colors shown here, and your tree trunk framing is good.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice woods scene Donald. I especially like how the color jumps out of the BG. Composing these types of scene is seldom easy, and you've done nicely here.

Donald,

I think you've captured this nicely. There's a very pleasant feeling of wanting to walk in to the woods - despite there being no path to walk... I might consider cropping out the RH trunk and a little bit from the left - I think this would bring even more emphasis to an entry way. But regardless, I too like the greens up front with the fall color in the background. Good eye and comp.
