Happened to look down at my feet and what did I see? I liked the shapes and textures, thought it would make a good B&W image.

This is truly lovely Dean! As you say, it has great shapes, textures, and very sharp details, and your conversion is perfect. Great image IMO.

Nice conversion and toning. I could see a bit of a crop from the right side to let the large rock in the URC bleed off the side.

What a rock-solid comp, Dean! It totally rocks! I'm stone-cold astonished by the nice textures and shapes. I've had a rocky relationship with sepia, but the toned down version works well here. Once im finished with this margarita (on the rocks, of course), ill probably appreciate it even more...

Dean,

A terrific find and a great eye to spy this little scene. Even without seeing the color version, I think this was a great choice for the b&w.

Of course I don't know how this was converted, but to me this does still have a color cast to it. Were you trying to tone this and give it a little of a sepia treatment? I took a look and indeed the shadows have a strong presence of red.

I like the subject matter very much, but if it were mine I would play with the processing a little bit more.

Nice little intimate scene. That leaf turns an ordinary picture into something quite interesting. Well done.
