Shot this near my home here in VT. I liked the graphic pattern of the trunks. C and C's are welcome. Thanks for looking.

I like this a lot, Mitch. Excellent choice to convert to B&W. I might experiment with bringing in the black point a little, but looks really good as presented. Hard to tell without playing with it. Very well done.

Awsome find. I think the contrast needs to be heightened just a touch to make the trunks pop a little more.

This is just awesome, Mitch. Great eye. I like how the photo is divided in half by the dark BG in the middle. Can't wait to see your Maine shots. I think I deleted 90% of mine.

Mitch,
Great choice and great subject for the b&w. The contrast and tonal range is just perfect. Not completely sure, but I might consider cropping out the large trunk on the far right. Not a big deal, but he seems just a little bit, I don't know, out of place? Maybe not the right word. Maybe too bright? Regardless, I love everything to the left of that one. Great eye and a wonderfully crafted image.

I love a good B&W and this certainly falls in that category, Mitch. The graphic lines of the trees are particularly striking as is the range of tones. How did the rest of your Maine trip go?

Love this, the comp is prefect, I might be tempted to up the contrast a tad.
