I took this an early morning, morning fog and thin ice over the lake and still the orange light from the morning sun, it was a beautiful morning!
taken with a tripod, 70-200mm, f13, 1/3 sec, ND Grad filters.

This is very nice I like the way light takes many different intensities across the frame.

Kurt,

No doubt a beautiful and I'm sure memorable morning for you. This is a wonderful capture. Now without your description I would have had a few questions about the "lake." For me, I couldn't decide if this was a bank of fog, a glacier, or what, but apparently a fog-covered lake. I like that the fog is also dispersed upwards in front of the mountains as well. I really have no nits or suggestions although I might consider a slight crop of the sky. But no biggie.

Definately looks like a beautiful morning, and scene. I like it, although the cleared area is a bit of a bummer. Nice ocovering of snow on the mountains too!
