Touch Of Light

The Grand lit by a subtle splash of early morning light over the Snake River. The cottonwoods were quite colorful despite being only the second week of September. I used a two or three stop (can't remember) soft edge neutral grad filter to control the sky and tone down the mountains a bit. As always, comments and critiques welcome!

The classic view of this is usually landscape, but I like your portrait orientation. Looks a little soft on my monitor. The color gives us a hint of things to come.

Nice light and texture in the foreground canopy.

This is a beautiful shot Zack. My only recommendation is to see if you can pull back the brightness in the reflection in the water there. I find it a little distracting from an otherwise incredible shot.

Very strong comp. NDF seems a bit high, but could burn below and/or dodge above to blend it a bit. The light here is really pretty.

Ahhh, the classic view. Hard to go wrong with the tetons. I like this quite a bit. I think it's just a little cool above the horizon, and the river could be burned down a bit too.
