Sunset on the River

I was hoping for a more dramatic sky but it was not to be. This little pool(?) was more of a loop with water from the river coming in from the FR then flowing out to the main channel. The graphic shape really drew me in.I've had to clone out tire marks, and I've left it a bit dark. Too dark?

The pool shape does indeed have strong appeal. Could almost be its own image.

Interesting composition here dean. I like the contrast between the warm glow and the rest of the image which is quite cool.

Loved the shape of the pool. Nice composition with the pool leading the eyes into the frame. Regarding darkness, the FG shadows hold good details and the silhouetted hills need to be this dark. Hence (for my tastes) I don't mind it. However I might bring down the saturation of blues a tad in the clouds.

Nice work, the foreground pool looks like it has spilled accidentally from the river.

Lovely shot.

Great light. The pool provides a very interesting focus in this image, and proper contrast is necessary to give a balance between fg and sky, not too dark. Nice work.

I don't think it's too dark and pool and sky make it happen for you :toast:

I agree with the above, that pool really attracts and the reflection in it is wonderfully colored.
