Danny,

We had a lovely view of this sunset as well in Long Beach. My daughter and I were both lamenting not being able to match that 1 in 100 sunset with something because the play of color across that fabulous layered sky was great. The most amazing thing was the breadth of color 360 degrees around and the virga that was illuminated and picking up color. There was one cloud to the east that was dumping rain ( or virga) in a vibrant pastel pink column. It was a simply a joy to watch. While just a grab shot your image captures exactly what I saw last night. Good job.

Strange weather always seems to come with great photo opportunities. That sky is great. I just wish the tree was not in the frame.

What a nice sky! Agree with Youssef about the tree. It would take on a much more abstract presentation without.

Beautiful sky, but I am with the others on the tree.

Gorgeous clouds. Silhouette feels a bit nebulous, but it's hard sometimes to find a good foreground element to go with clouds.
