My grand daughter Megan taking a breather while we were hiking in the Naval Live Oaks section of the Gulf Islands National Seashore on a chilly February day about 3 years ago. Great idea for a theme Hank!

Hi Bill, I was thinking about this or a similar photo that you posted on WC just a few minutes ago when I dropped you a note. I can remember that both you and Wayne Jones posted such charming images of your grandkids.

This image too tells a wonderful story. I love the composition.

Wow! The hat, the shoes, the pack. And that one eye peaking out! What a background for the sly smile. This youngster bears close watching in future years, Bill. She has "spunk" written all over.

I'm hoping this is printed large on family walls.

I remember that smile (and hat). An unforgettably cute shot, and also one that comments on two of the things to remember when hiking with kids: Take lots of breaks; and bring lots of snacks and drinks.
