As a fan of animal partials, I really like this. It captures the essence of being an elephant. It seems a bit tight on the top - I might have like to see all of the mouth, but of course, that would have reuired you to bave backed up or to have been using a zoom lens.

Nice image Ingrid. IMHO it does need a touch more contrast, but that is just me. Also, take a look at cropping tighter, right below where the tusk leaves the trunk. I just scrolled up to see what it would look light and liked it. Thanks for sharing, again nice image.

A unique elephant photo, Ingrid! Love the detail and your choice of composition. A tiny bit more of the mouth and head is the only suggestion I can come up with. Very nice! :toast:

hello Ingrid, good partial shot. I will add some contrast and try to darken a bit the background to try and make the tusks pop.

Cheers, Luca

A very interesting shot with good detail on the the trunk and tusks. I also would like to see the background darker and some more contrast but it appears this was taken in some very bright light. Well seen, way to go.

Hi Ingrid,

I tend to like animal "abstracts" (or "extracts" ) and compositionally this one works quite well for me. I'm not sure the lighting you had really supports this genre of image too well...I'd like to see more contrast and detail on the trunk and probably a much darker background (side-lighting at dusk with the same subject could have been awesome). I'm also wondering if slightly more space to the left and slightly less to the left would have balanced the image a little more?? Just a thought.

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Brad
