Rocks in a puddle

Taken at Nash Point on the Heritage Coast, South Wales, UK.

There are some lovely puddles on this beach and the trick is to get there as the tide is going out before people walk all over the sand and ruin the patterns.

Sigma 10-20 EX

ISO 100
10mm
Probably used a 2 stop ND grad, can't remember

Cable release
Manual focus and exposure

Very nice! The foreground is really beautiful and the angle is great. Maybe the sky could be a little darker (maybe closer to the tones in the reflection?).

I think I'll leave the larger version open on my desktop to enjoy for the rest of the afternoon. Well done.

Oh, this is just beautiful! I love that reflection and the wet sheen on the rocks in the puddle. The reflected color off the sand is very nice as well.

Really nice find, beautifully done! I wouldn't mind seeing the pool fill the screen a bit more.

Beautiful! I really like looking at this. Very nice light, color, reflection and I like the comp alot. Might need just a little cw rotation, but has not been mentioned, so that might just be me. Nice work, Geoffrey.

This is a good compostition with the little pool of water and the stones in the foreground. I also like the color-palette, the gold/brown/yellowish tones works well with the blue tones in the sky and pool.
