Mother and Daughter

It was the annual "Take your daughter to Work Day" at the Nursery yesterday. This Dahlia Mom and her baby were good enough to pose for a few shots. I'm just beginning to experiment with HDR software and this is an early attempt.

I like this a lot Craig, particularly the composition but the processing as well. There's a dark shadow at about 2:00 to the right of the main flower that I might clone over. Other than that I hope to see more of these.

So glad Mother and Daughter are doing well, and you're having fun, Craig. Nice experiment. Next time I'd leave a little more room at the top. It will be interesting to see your next post.

Cheers,

Carol

The background is really interesting on this. This lighting on the flowers looks like the shadows and highlights somehow lost their puch. Is that the HDR? The arrangement of the flowers is super, but would look even better with a bit more space on top.

I really like the light in this one, and what the pp did to the background. Cool!

Beautiful and engaging shot, Craig. Did you really need HDR on this? It certainly doesn't have that "HDR look," so that is a good thing.

This seems to work well for me Craig. I like seeing the two different blooms at differing angles. Nice work!

Hi Craig. :wavey: A very interesting composition, with an unusual B.G. and light that works very well.

Craig: I like the tonal range you got and the pristine perfection of the main flower and the bud. Really good work. >=))>
