Glacial Jewel

From big blocks of ice to very small fragments of a huge glacier. These little guys kept me occupied for hours while they slowly melted away into Jökulsárlón.

There definitely is something poetic about a huge glacier like the Vatnajökull ending up in such tiny jewels melting on a black beach.

It's like glass driftwood. Beautiful. :toast:

I would have preferred that you had panned down slightly to give more space to the reflection and to avoid the bright highlight in the upper part of the image.

I ditto the comments of Buck.

It's like a miniature ice arch - very nice.

I love the way the light shimmers through the ice. Wonderful image.

Yeah, this is nice. For me, I'd crop off the top to eliminate the two brighter areas.

Definitely has a jewel-like quality. I wonder if burning the top a bit would focus attention on the ice a bit more.

I love the way this tight scene contrasts with some of your larger views. I agree that cropping or burning the brighter areas would help.
