White-faced Ibis

Mating pair. A strong wind was blowing and that accounts for the feather being pushed up in the right side bird.
From truck window with bean bag. Afternoon cloudy light.

Really fine IQ Ronnie. Love white-faced ibis. I got my Masters at LSU so spent 4 years in LA and I loved watching this species while I was messing around in the marshes and swamps studying Canvasbacks. Great detail in this shot and I love the habitat. Well done.

This is about the best exposed bird image you could ask for. Tremendous detail is the result. I like how you got them both sharp and the comp ain't too shabby, either.

The wind ruffled feathers adds an additional level of drama to a very intimate scene. Superb shot. :toast:

The habitat is wonderful Ronnie. What I really like about this image is the fluffed up feathers on both birds. Too often with these guys it's difficult to get feather detail because of the irridescence. The only distraction for me is the white branches coming out of the rear end of the left bird. Another masterful image Ronnie.

Really outstanding capture Ronnie. I love the plumage color and detail and how well the pair stands out from the light green foliage. The icing on the cake is the complimentary OOF BG...... WONDERFUL!
