Snowy Range in Wyoming.

Rediscovered this one on the hard drive, and am taking a liking to it. Let me know any thoughts you have about the image & how the conversion looks. Large image provided.

Thanks,

**Just checked out the large version in firefox, and definitely saw that it is different. I didn't save it under the srgb profile...I guess Safari and IE got past this somehow..

Looks good to me Benjamin! Conversion also looks great, I especially like the sky here. Composition wise I might be tempted to crop a sliver off the bottom of the image, simply because It hink this image would look great as a pno crop

Don't know if I remember this one in particular, but I for sure remember this series. I think the conversion is really good, it creates a lot of drama that might otherewise not be there in a color rendition. Excellent sky too, by the way.

Larger version on my monitor is blown. The one here looks great.
I like everything about this. Great DOF, great leading lines, contrast, and texture.

Ben, I'm really diggin' the sky on this one. The parity of shape and frequency with the hills works quite well.

I love this one! The conversion is great and this area yields itself nicely to BW images. I'm heading up there next week so thanks for inspiration

Looks great Ben! Super b/w work and composition. The large version is considerably brighter than the small version - almost like a high key vesrion of that one. I would suggest and "average" of the two in terms of brightness.

I was so looking forward to seeing the large version, but something went wrong with that image. Love what I see in the smaller version. Maybe a slight crop off the left to eliminate that dark spot along the mountain edge. Other than that, this more than works for me.

I've looked at the large image on 2 different computers, I see no difference... Interesting that I've heard comments saying otherwise.. Hmm..it was the same image file for both images too... Anyways, I appreciate all the positive feedback, definitely an image I'm excited about.

Very strong use of B&W. The foreground is nice, but cropping it also leaves a really strong pano.

Looks superb Ben. Your composition has nice linear lines with the clouds, their reflection and the streams. Love the tones. Glad you found this gem on your drive.

Very nice. The conversion is great, as is the contrast. But, the clouds are the best part, and their reflections.

Glad I didn't miss this one Ben; one of your best in my opinion. I'm especially fond of the sky, and I'd be tempted to run a graduated darkness from the bottom edge to just below the mountain. That would give it a more moody foreground, and really let that sky sing. :toast:
