Coastal Rock Design
by Vance Gese
Was able to get away with the camera for a couple hours on a recent family camping trip along the Oregon coast. Found these interesting rocks. Liked how the upper rocks, that appear to be encrusted with some sort of mineral or salt, contrasted with the yellows and oranges of the rocks below.
Hope there is enough here to hold interest.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts, suggestions, comments. Always appreciated.

16 commentsI wonder if there is not too much contrast on the darker tones?

The upper left portion is almost frozen frosty looking. Im also enjoying the yellows and oranges as well.
The image flows nicely in terms of patterns. It sort of looks like a black eye up there too.
Great job Vance

Dean, I did try a crop on the left side during processing, but lost too much of the crack in the rock that arcs down to the left lower corner so decided against it. May try and burn the left upper area a bit to as to avoid any distraction. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks again everyone.
