I spotted these two young barn owls peeping out of their refuge one night when I was cycling home. I like the way the eyes of the left-hand owl are framed.

Cool find, I like not only the way they look at you but also the beautiful nesting hole that almost resembles the head of an owl.

The left hand owl made me laugh, very nicely framed. I'd also be tempted to rop a little tighter here  :wavey:

That's a neat shot Crystal, I'd crop in a bit closer as well. I like how they are partially hidden by the tree bark. I think you will find you can learn just as much by commenting on and analyzing others images as you do from getting critiques on your own. :wavey: :toast:

Wonderful find Crystal, and you are getting exercise at the same time! I would suggest cropping out the lower left corner so the frame is filled with just the tree. Otherwise a really neat photo with nicely framed subjects. :toast:

Now you know where the nest is you can keep an eye out in future and get some good landing shots of the adults when they bring food to the owlets. But, unfortunately, Tytonid owls are rather unpredictable in their breeding unlike the Ninox genus.

Nice pic.
