Hi Don
Glad to see you took the NPN plunge.

Just hangin' out with some of the guys. Would like to have seen a little more separation between the snowy and the spoonie.

That sky pointing spoonbill has great color. Hope you managed to isolate him from the herd.

Hi Don,

Welcome to NPN's Avian critique gallery, it is a great place to learn both from getting and giving critiques. As Buck mentioned I would have liked a bit of separation between the snowy egret and the roaseate spoonbill with the bill pointed up. The whites are a bit hot in places, a little negative EV compensation at the time the photo was created would have helped with that. I'd toned down the red saturation some.

Nice work getting all of the birds relatively sharp at f/6.3. That can be challenging with so many birds

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Welcome Don. First thing I noticed is that all four birds look pretty sharp - not easy to do. Which reminds me - it's really helpful if you post more of your techs, like shutter speed, f stop, ISO etc. I like the species mix here. Agree with the already mentioned nits but you've got a great start on NPN with this image.

Don, the welcome mat is laid out. Good to see you posting here as we can use another Everglades guy.
Nice work on the details.

Nice first image and big welcome too! The light seems just a little harsh. White birds are a pain in this sort of light. Well done in any case.
