Flowers

Made this image (few weeks back) during a hike in nearby mountains.
After initially jumping onto it to make some close-up macro images, I backed off and found the BG rock to be offering some nice textures and tones.
Techs:
Nikon D90, 18-105
f/8, 1/80, ISO640, hand-held.

Congrats for pulling back and recognizing the potential of the surrounding rock. This makes for a lovely and vibrant intimate nature portrait. I think perhaps equally suited for Flora, but by including more of the plants surroundings, this works well here too.
Very vibrant - I also really like the texture and detail of the rock. Nicely seen and captured.

A really nice specimen of Rhododendron hirsutum I guess!!!
