Thanks to the feedback on my previous abstract, I have gone back and practice on this frangipani. Hopefully its an improvement on the previous.

Oh my what a beautiful abstract. The fan of radiating muted colors highlighted by the bright yellow band is just beautiful. Great foresight and implementation!

Beautiful, Gary - love the yellow peeking through the gap - lovely take on the Frangipani. Its getting better and better. If this were to be my photo I'd crop much of the darker tones from the left and fill the frame with only the lighter tones.

Gary, I like this abstract better than the previous (thanks for including the link). I think Ram's cropping suggestion might work quite well; hope you try it.
Normally I avoid any comments on framing but in this case, I think the black detracts from your image.
Cheers,
Carol

Gary,
Love the right 5/6 or so of the image. That shallow S curve really grabs my attention. Like the others though I'm having a little trouble with the darker area on the viewer's left. For my tastes probably cropping most of it away would work best. Although, lightening it and or cloning in color from the other side of the image might work also. My last thought was a CCW 90 degree rotation and crop. Then the heavier dark area could serve as a support for the lighter area with the curve. Beautiful in all other respects.

I love the sweeping lines you have here. I also agree with Ram on the crop. Well done!

Gary: Have you been channeling Ram? I hope you will take that as the high compliment intended. This is superb photography. >=))>

I'm going against the general consensus here and say keep the dark band on the left. To my eye it acts kinda like an anchor for the lines that are flowing out of the scene....like a flag attached to a pole...if that makes any sense.

Hi Gary Been looking at this abstract for days. And really enjoy it!! Would be still on the fence about the crop. without the opinion that master abstract whiz... Ram. But your so close to a killer abstract.

Haven't seen the previous yet, but my first thought on seeing the thumbnail was Ram! This has ram's signature on it, but it is your capture!!! I appreciate the sweeping curves. The capture is beautiful Gary. Nicely presented.

Beautiful abstract Gary, but I do like Ram's suggestion of cropping out the darker tones. Very nice as is though.
