This is an image from up in the cave above The Wave. Pretty well known place and this comp (or similar) has probably already been done. Still, I really like the textures and shapes and colors, and it was fun to work on.

Sorry for not posting any images for awhile, but my desktop died a few weeks back and am just now in the process of setting up a new computer. This is a test of PS CS5, though I'm not sure I have my calibration right yet.

Your thoughts and recommendations would, as always be appreciated.

Tony, I really like this one. The variety of textures, layers, and colors all in this one scene are wonderful. The FG structure even shows traces of being porous or dotted possibly with perforation of some sort? On the other hand it maybe granulation we are seeing there. Regardless, the detail is amazing to pick that up too.
As you and I talked not too long ago about my PC purchase, it looks as though you had to follow through with your own upgrade as well.

Outstanding composition Tony. I really like how the colors change from "peachy" to golden as the eye moves up the frame. Well done.

This is a wonderful composition. Really like it! Beautiful shades, textures and form make this a very nice image to spend time looking at. It is like a lesson in art form because it is that good. The more you look the better it gets. Amazing work, Tony.

Wow, the way you capture sandstone. It would amaze me if someone doesn't look at your images and appreciate sandstone. The way it curves and each texture that just pops out is really engaging. When I view your rock images it's like they are almost a living moving organism.
Awesome from capture to here.

That has amazing depth for a photo with so few deep shadows. You really are a master at this stuff. The interplay of the different lines is magnificent.

Simple, but engaging.
The variation of tones creates a nice feeling of depth.
I think the shape and pattern in the light foreground creates a nice contrast with the gentle sweep of the more distant rock.

Tony, You have the best eye for detailed abstracts of anybody I know of. The way you see a scene, and bring it home for us to enjoy...feels like one of my guilty pleasures. This does not even come close to falling short of your usual mastery of the art! All I can say is... I love it! :toast:

Another beauty, Tony. I love the strength of the highlights which in my opinion really help add that extra dimension to this photo. The textures are looking awesome even in this size. I can only imagine what a thrill it must be to see all of the details in a print.

Tony,

This is fantastic! You mastery of light, color, contrast in saturation is quite evident here in this image. This is a bit of an abstract mind bender when it comes to depth, scale and order (front to back,) but that title is throwing me for a loop! If I'm thinking literal when I read "reflection," I'm sitting here trying to figure out which part of the image is water!

Beautiful work - masterful processing.
