I tried to come up with new technique for this bank where it is well known and I've seen so many compositions for this subject

an exposure before the sunset and additional exposure when the area got totally dark and rise my ISO to 3200 + turn on my noise reduction.

Canon 1Ds Mark III, Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L II Nelson lake, South Island, New Zealand

Don't forget your comment

Beautiful and sharp. Your technique obviously was successful. The combination of detail in the foreground and the clear starfield with no star trails makes this a fine picture. Good use of leading lines, too.

Super nice. Love the distant blue line across the surface of the lake. And of course, the sky is remarkable.

A beauty Abdullaziz and great work on the blend. :toast: Somehow, I do wish the wooden peer (or whatever that thing maybe called) would line up a bit better with the dip in between the mountains and their shadows, but I suppose there was not much you could have done about that.

I like this one even better than the mountain from the helicopter. The dock almost feels like a launch pad.
