neat bird, Rob. nice DOF getting the whole bird sharp. I'm not sure about the veg either--maybe crop just a little more off the bottom (about half of the veg directly below the bird), then clone out the rest of the bits, leaving the more substantial stuff at bottom right?

Very neat, Rob. A different pose with a nice head turn. That eye is crazy. :toast:

Sweet shot here Rob. Love the overall comp and what great light. Sharpness looks spot on and the great eye contact with that yellow eye just tops this one off for me. Well done.

The warm light has really bought up the colours well. Perhaps need slight cw rotation?

Got some sweet colors working here, Rob. As others have said, the eye is killer.

Stunning grebe-great colors. The OOF vegetation adds an element of environment which works well here, IMO. :toast:

Very cool bird and a great shot, but if it was mine I'd crop and clone out the oof veg. Nice water and colors!

I like the OOF vegetation Rob, the bird, its eye, the water, natural colors, pose and details make the image for me.

Very cool bird, Rob. Nice detail and light as well. The Little Grebe in India looks pretty much the same. I am not sure about the OOF vegetation. I think it distracts a little. The image may need some CW rotation. :toast:
