Townsend's Warbler

Well, it is not intentional, but I am following up Glenn Bartley's bird for the second post in a row with this Townsend's Warbler. This is another from the other morning. I'm unsure whether I prefer this one or another that I may post. The other one has a more active pose but less of the bird is in the DOF. This one is a little static, but the detail in the bird is quite nice.

Your comments and critiques are appreciated. Please view the larger version if possible.

Your photos have been upped to another level lately. I like the DOF and detail is wild.

A real beauty Brain, especially like the colors. Could maybe use a little more room at the bottom, but hardly an issue. :toast:

Another sweet shot Brian. Love the BG and the sharpness and detail of the bird. I too would lighten up the area around the eye just a tad to add some definition there. Well done.

I like that two toned bg with this. Terrific detail and color as far as I'm concerned.

An appealing image as presented Brian, I like the pose, the details and the light. I might lighten it just a tiny bit using a levels layer and sliding the midtones towards positive. It won't need much. You did very nice on the yellows, those can be easily blown.

Great looking bird, Brian. I like the detail and pose too. A little fill would have helped here. But I think you could play with levels to brighten up the bird a little. :toast:
