A most unusual view, Doris...
I like the combination of pinks and greens; however, I find the green edges around the petals as well as the black in the BG to be distracting. Both are easily fixed in PS.

Doris,
I don't recall having commented on one of your images before. So, nice to meet you. Interesting and creative point of view. One of the few shots I ever recall seeing, where the stem actually interests me. I agree with Carol about the halos and to some extent the black in the bg. I'd probably also consider cloning out the critter. An interesting image, I hope to see more of your work here.

Doris:
An uncommon POV for sure but really interesting. Some abstract feel to this picture which is appeals to me. Welcome to this gallery and hope to see more of your posts here.

This is an interesting perspective on a Columbine. The little hitch hiking insect is a nice touch. I might blur the section of the stem that's in focus. I seems a little distracting to me.

Hi Doris, and welcome. Neat shot; such a unique POV. I basically like the image as is. Nicely composed. The blackish spots in the BG don't bother me at all. The little critter could go, but other than that, looks fine to me.

Very unique perspective Doris, good job thinking outside the box. The halo kinda bothers me as does the critter, but over all I like this image. Welcome to Flora, I have learned much here, and all are wonderful folks.

Doris: Welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet and thanks for a good first post here. I really like your unique POV and your DOF choice. I would make the bug go away as its not particularly attractive IMO and doesn't really add much. I kind of like the part of the stem that's in focus; it tells me it is in the same plane of focus as the main subject. I like your BG as is. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more. >=))>

Hi Doris, welcome to the Flora forum on NPN! What an interesting presentation for your first post here.
I really like the perspective here, it challenges the viewer to decide if they are on the ground looking up or if this stem is arching up and the bloom is facing the ground. In any event the shallow dof and sea of green really set off the color of the bloom.
If this is any indication of what is to come I can't wait to see more!
