A very nice GBH shot Michael. Love the colors and the reflection. Bird looks sharp.

The bg gradient and classic comp are nice, Michael. It looks as if the angle of the light made getting any texture in the feathers difficult giving the overall image a flattened look.

Nice, if not perfect, reflection; great background; good light. The heron is well placed in the frame and its head is in perfect profile. A good picture, but the heron is doing what great blue herons do a lot of - he's just standing there. there are ways to get a great blue heron to do something photogenic - change lenses, batteries or memory card, apply a second coat of bug repellent, or otherwise not be ready to make the picture. Your shooting companions will thank you.

A classic heron shot Michael. What I like most about this image is the change in bg from green to blue.

Michael, The blue and green BG make this one stand out as special. Very nice pose, eye contact and color tones.
