Reflecting in Shadows

Hello

After my last image which was a bit strange and probably 'overprocessed'
I try this more natural view ... of 'Antern Lake' in the french alps. My favorite place in my area ... a very wild place with this crazy wall of rocks.

I hope it works :)

Wickedly trippy image Alexandre. WAY better than that last image, although it was still great, but suffered from a few technical issues. This one is perfect as is. Wouldn't change a thing. Wonderfully seen and captured.

This works very well IMO Alex! Great abstract quality to it. To 'perfect' this I would consider cropping a sliver off the bottom to include exactly what is included on top. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Beauitful reflection, very Artistic. For me, I'd like a little more saturation in the greens.
Nice capture Alexandre.

This is beautiful Alex. Love the symmetry in the rocks and its reflection.
The dark wedge (shadow) on the left adds a lot to the image IMO.

I like the dark line coming in from the left. It provides the depth the image needs and a nice separation between the reflection and the wall. A very different image indeed and nicely done.

Yea, I really dig this - the reflection is most interesting.... I would have thought the reflection would be a tad darker than the real thing ?? Awesome as is, but kinda curious....

Love it... especially the left to right flow and the luminous quality captured here. Good stuff!

A bit "normal" for you, Alexandre. Excellent image all around, but I wouldn't immediately pegged it as one of yours. You do however have some wide-ranging styles, and I like this very much.

This is just my cup of tea, quirky but not over processed just a very fine puzzling image to mull over and explore.

Great shot Alexandre

Love this abstract! I am a reflection nut so it goes well with me.

I do wish the water was a tad darker than the upper portion like you would see in reality. Also it is level (the middle to the right) but the left is a tad warped (reflections don't line up there) making it feel just a little tilted. I would be inclined to warp the left side into perfect symmetry since this image is all about symmetry.

Nice job! :toast:

I love that sweet green color and the wedge of dark shadow that separates the two realities. It might be interesting to crop from the right side until the dark area reaches across the entire photo, but I also enjoy the way the reflected and actual grass merge on the right edge. There's a black spot out there on that edge I would clone though. Anyway, very awesome!

Beautiful and graphic and the green grasses give this a softness through the center that is very appealing.

Awesome display of natural symmetry. If that water was glass this might be perfection in terms of shape and symmetry. Good eye Alexandre.

Great reflection here looks like something out of a piece of cut up fruit.

This is a very appealing image and it really holds my attention. Great composition and timing with the light. Looks like you captured a wonderful morning (or evening?) to be out in the field.

Love it! I can see why you like this place. It has the feeling of remote wilderness.
