What a crazy looking bug. The detail is super and the perch adds interest to the image. Well seen.

Doug - VERY cool - I have never seen a closeup of these guys before. Fine detail, especially of the wings and mouth. I'd like just a bit more room all around (IMO only)
What is that it is eating? and are the mouth parts really that long??

Doug:
Cool and fascinating. Superb details on the bug and nut. Can almost see your reflection in its eye. :toast:

Excellent details. You've managed to keep the entire body in single plane (of focus).
Beautiful image. :toast:

Congrats on the WP Doug. Amazing detail throughout ... I can even see someone's house reflected in the Cicada's eye.
