It's amazing how much more an image means to you when you've braved chest high, dew covered brush protected by hordes of mosquitoes to make it. I've never seen this wildflower, which also called "Widowsfrill" or "Starry Campion", before but in looking through the books it is relatively uncommon but fairly widespread over the eastern half of the US with Minnesota being near the northwestern edge of their range. I will definitely be back looking for them again next year. Full frame with an oof bud cloned out at lower left. C and C welcome

Nicely captured and well controlled exposure on this white flowers. Wish for a bit more room along the right edge, but good as it is too.

IMO you have excellently managed to combine the flower with BG and overal composition. The center of the flowers is a bit OOF. Nicely done Keith.

That's dedication Keith. The brush is no big deal but those damn mosquitoes are miserable.

I like the pretty pristine white flowers against the dark BG. :toast:

Nice find Keith. Great job controlling the whites and keeping the horde of mosquitos out of the image.

While the framing is a bit tight on the right that would be easily remedied by adding a bit of canvas. Did you make any frames with the aperture stopped down a bit more? One more stop might have been enough to bring the entire right bloom into sharp focus.

This subject would have me back again next year too. Good hunting!

Nicely captured Keith. I like the diagonal line of the stem - blossoms and buds. Just wish there was a tad bit more negative space right side of lower blossom. Nice whites and sweet buds. :toast:

A lovely, floating composition, Keith. delicately coloured, sharp and beautifully lit. I like this image very much.

Keith: Well worth the effort and a fine result. I guess a touch more room/canvas on the right would be an enhancement but I like this as is. Nicely done.>=))>
