Out of all my Antelope Canyon images this one is probably my favorite. The light was bouncing off the sandstone walls displaying such intense color that its beauty captivated me. Each time I pressed the shutter button I was thinking a favorite quote and hoping for at least one good shot.

Very nice photograph Melissa. This definitely has a lot going for it. Perhaps if you could tone down the highlights just a tad...regardless, I enjoyed viewing this.

Very nice Melissa. I would like to see a little more detail out of the brightly lit back wall if the highlights aren't clipped. Beautiful lines, texture, and color.

A superb Antelope Canyon shot. I like the composition and the interplay of light-dark, as well as the various intensity of reds.

Melissa,

You certainly have the eye! Great comp and shot. :toast:

Don't worry if some photographers have seen the canyon too much, the rest of the world (at least my market) has not.

Only a few pixels are truly "blown out" 255 on your web shot here. There are a significant amount getting close. But since they are not clipped to 255 (pure white) that means to me that it is extremely likely that you can get the detail back, there if you choose. So, I too would like to see this image where the highlights are toned down just a little, and that is because I believe when we look at those highlight areas, in person, with our own eyes we can see the detail there.

Great photo needing just a touch more careful luminance correction to become great IMHO!

Reminds me of a flame Melissa! Very well seen and captured. Antelope Canyon was one of my favorite places when I visited AZ in2007.

I like the comp too with the the off-centered bright area creating a very dynamic image. I'm with Mark that pulling the highlights back a bit could be useful here in establishing a bit better contrast balance.
